high-quality and tasty Istrian cuisine, as well as to the
top-quality wines and alcoholic drinks.
Authentic and autochthonous dishes from Rovinj's area are
mostly made of fish, crabs and mussels, which is not surprising
considering Rovinj has been an important fishing centre throughout
its history.
We especially recommend seafood stew, boiled or grilled
white fish, Istrian «fuži» with mussel sauce...etc.
Traditional dishes of Istrian cuisine are also Istrian
top-quality smoked ham, hard cheese (sheep milk), sauerkraut
with sausages, various «maneštra», pilaffs and unavoidable
scrambled eggs with wild asparagus.
In finer restaurants you can ennoble these dishes with Istrian
olive oil of exceptional quality, while high-grade Istrian
wines make your meal even more perfect.
